I absolutely loved the book. Not so much for the Mayflower part, but for the whole early colonial history from the arrival of the Mayflower through King Phillip's War. What makes the whole thing more surreal is finding the names of many of these obscure characters (particularly the Native Americans) in the names of depressing little strip malls or obscure byways here in New England.
